Explore this scenic 3.4-km loop trail near Morningview on Middleton Mountain, especially beautiful during the fall. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes about an 1 hour to complete. While this trail is popular for hiking, you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day, allowing you to fully appreciate the stunning fall foliage.
Open year-round, Middleton Mountain is a beautiful destination in any season, but fall offers a unique display of vibrant colors. Dogs are welcome, and they may be off-leash in some areas, but please keep them on a leash to protect the local wildlife and avoid cacti along the trail. Parking is available on Mt. Ida Drive, where you’ll find a trail map sign marking the path leading up to the summit.
