A play space is proposed in the park located in the first stage of development. Both families living in Morningview and the community beyond will enjoy this space to play and connect with one another. Play structures, shaded areas and eating spaces make this space ideal for family and friends.

Middleton Mountain Park is a popular hike up the grassland hillside with the reward of sweeping 360◦ views encompassing Kalamalka Lake, Coldstream Valley, Vernon Hill, Silver Star Mountain, Swan Lake, City of Vernon, Turtle Mountain, and the Commonage. Interpretive signage, various trails, lookout points and benches make this one of the regions most popular destinations. Natural flora and fauna cover the unique landscape while the breathtaking views continue to attract locals and visitors to the park.

Located in stage 2 of Morningview, this trailhead is planned to be the first neighbourhood connection from the east side of Middleton Mountain to the extensive trial system. The proposed plan for the trailhead is to provide parking and a green space to eat and relax for when you begin and end your hike up Middleton. The trailheads are intended to connect to Middleton Mountain Park and Farnsworth Nature Preserve.

The second trailhead is located in stage 3 of Morningview, providing a different access point to Middleton Mountain Park than the first trailhead. The trailhead will be a relaxing place to rejuvenate and relax, enjoy a picnic or coffee with a friend.

Farnsworth Nature Preserve is situated at the summit of Middleton Mountain protecting 90 acres of grassland and wildlife. Several loop trails offer stunning views while interpretive signs describe the geology, flora and fauna of Middleton Mountain.
